Dutch entrepreneurs and social media influencers Samuel Onuha (25) and Ruben Onuha (23) have been arrested in Dubai on serious drug-related charges. The brothers, known for their high-end fashion brand Icon Amsterdam, were detained in early March 2025 following a raid on their Palm Jumeirah residence. Authorities allege that the Onuha brothers were involved in smuggling 250 kilograms of cocaine into the United Arab Emirates, a seizure valued at approximately $60 million.
The Dubai Police have referred inquiries to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which has not responded, reportedly due to Ramadan. The Onuha brothers’ family declined to comment on the situation, and it remains unclear who is representing them legally.
The arrest of the Onuha brothers has sparked widespread discussion among influencers on YouTube and TikTok. Known for flaunting their wealth on social media, the brothers’ arrest has raised questions about the true source of their income and the authenticity of their business ventures. While they have claimed to generate millions per week through e-commerce, the actual financial performance of Icon Amsterdam remains unclear. 
As of mid-April 2025, Samuel and Ruben Onuha remain in custody in Dubai, awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be provided as more information becomes available.
